Maybe! Depending on how full my production queue is and how soon your deadline is, my rush fee starts at $75.
Probably! My machine is strong enough to quilt vegan leather, suede, vinyl, canvas, and most other textiles. I can absolutely do a consult with you if you need something quilted for bagmaking, garment construction, upholstering, or anything else!
Probably not. Since I still currently have a day job, I just don't have the time to also be available for quilt commissions. That may change in the future but for now, I need to focus my energies on the longarm aspect of the process.
Most longarmers will say no. I typically don't recommend it because the super dense thread count of most cotton or microfiber sheets causes skipped stitches because the needle bounces on it like a trampoline. However, I'm not going to gatekeep. I will try to use whatever is supplied as backing provided it adheres to the size requirements. In the event that it results in a less-than-ideal test, I'll contact you to see how you want me to proceed.
My studio is located in Cascade Business Plaza in Kent, WA, suite 104. I'm tucked in a quiet hallway off the main annex and I'm pretty pleased to have the only skylight in the building giving me wonderful natural light.
Sure, if you like! For insurance reasons I can't have my machine running while I have clients in the studio, but if you would like to have an in-person consult about your quilt I'm more than happy to welcome you in. Please shoot me an email or text to schedule a time, as I keep irregular hours.
This isn't something that I currently offer, but may in the future.
Unfortunately not. This is currently my only machine and when I am in the studio, I need to use the time to complete client quilts.
